idiotic customer service

By Wilbur Corncob at 06/17/07 19:47
The names and emails have been changed here to protect the innocent and guilty. Why do people make such terrible names for things relating to customer service and why do companies insist on sending you emails you don't want?

Date: Sun 06/17/07 04:38 PM Ticket relates to taking a ticket to wait or a ticket for speeding etc... it is not a word that is endearing to a customer that wants service! I know what you are saying, I am saying it is a word that implies a negative connotation and there is enough negativity in customer service to start with!

Like me, I canceled your service. Not as an upset customer, your material just didn't fit in with what we're doing.

However, rather than completely canceling the service, you only cancel some of it and still send emails. As a customer that is fine. Once I canceled the service I was/am no longer a customer and sending emails about your service is pretty silly.

It should not be another step for me to "unsubcribe" since I didn't really subscribe in the first place. The emails started when I made the purchase. When I canceled that I would have though the emails about your service would have stopped.

At this point they are pretty stupid. I don't use your service so the emails won't help me with it. Since I canceled, so the emails which aren't really sales pitches won't do a bit of good toward selling me on your service (since they aren't sales pitches and I found I wasn't interested in your service to begin with).

It is even worse customer service than using unfriendly terms to make a customer do something you should have done in the first place!

Maybe it is different down under, but when I asked to cancel the service I mean to cancel it all, 100% completely. Not half way.

Surely you don't want my canceled because the materials didn't fit with our projects to being angry because I will receive emails until the end of time from you as well?

Hi mate, cancelling your membership is separate to the autoresponder, if you'd like to cancel that you're more than welcome to (click on the link down the bottom)

As for customer service, we're basically saying you can send talk to us anyway, phone, email, ticket... doesn't get much better than that

I would have thought your emails would have stopped when I canceled?!

And, if I wanted customer service I wouldn't want a "ticket" or "case number". That is a complete crock when referring to customer service. For a company of creative writers (?) I figure you could come up with better termonlogy when serving customers!

Hi Stupid Wilbur,

It's a pain in the "you know what" when you go to a site, or buy a product, and you're LUCKY if you get email access to the owner... It seems to be the norm these days in the internet marketing community, and for virtually every digital product around...

Well, you are welcome to contact us, or any of our staff to help you with any off your issues, if you'd like, you're also welcome to give us a ring, if you need customer support call us on +1 408 555 12123, and if you need affiliate support, call +1 408 555 1212, now, while these are US numbers, we're in Australia, so keep in mind that we and our staff are in the office from 9am-5pm Mon-Fri (someone is always manning the phones then) the reality is Sheephead and I are often here much later and earlier than that, but may not be on to answer phones.

If you want to just contact us via support, head to http://clicks.aweber.com/z/ct/?areallystupidcustomerservicesystem and place a ticket, again, provided it's not the weekend, we'll get back to you within 24 hours, and often sooner than that.

Wealth and Abundance,

Mr. Sheephead
