Packaged RFID Passports Cloned

A security consultant figured out how to clone a US Passport while it is still in the mail!

I believe this helps prove the theory that the more we take for granted something is secure, the less secure it actually is. Why do we believe in the security of "RFID" Passports? Because someone says RFID is a secure technology of some sort.
